We have 26 rooms and a 2 bed self contained unit. We launder all towels, hand towels, face washers and bath mats. ( all white ) also bedspreads , blankets and table clothes. Our sheets and pillowcases are laundered off site. Our washer and dryer were very old and beyond repair. Our new washer and dryer are now so efficient, time saving and much better result. The managers and staff are really impressed with the results. The information on the new equipment was explained clearly by Christian making the decision on which to purchase very easy. We upgraded from our original choice but this proved invaluable now it is installed and operating. The chemical monitoring is also time and money saving. We rely on a stand-up dryer for our various costumes, which range from delicate to dyed and art-finished items. Our old drying cabinet was becoming temperamental – it wasn’t always working or getting to the right temperature setting when required, and shutting the door took a special knack. When choosing a replacement machine, time, price and available space inside the machine were factors taken into consideration – all of which has been achieved with our purchase of an Electrolux Professional Drying Cabinet TS560 from Richard Jay. We love it – the door shuts with such ease, and the different heat-setting options and auto-off function are both fabulous. The cabinet’s definitely saved valuable time – especially between a matinee performance and an evening show, when quite often items can’t be tumble dried and the time factor is tight. We highly recommend this machine to other performing companies requiring the same maintenance of costumes, and we’d certainly recommend the service from Richard Jay – dealing with them was an easy, pain-free experience with great follow-up.

The Department for Correctional Services are more than happy with the new machinery in the new purpose built laundry at Mobilong Prison. The new laundry has an industrial range of washers and dryers from Richard Jay Laundry Equipment.The Laundry is managed and operated by a small group of authorised prisoners and designed to handle personal clothing for 320 prisoners, on a rostered basis over 5 days. All equipment has automatic dosing of laundry chemicals which eliminates over use of laundry powders and the mess associated with people adding their own laundry powder. The new Ozone system ensures optimimum hygeine is reached in the cleaning process and the result in clean fresh laundry.
